William Owen
Founder, and Executive Reflection Coach

William brings over thirty years of experience working in and alongside senior leadership environments. His work has consistently involved structured challenge, decision review, and assumption testing, particularly with C-suite leaders and senior stakeholders.

As a contractor, he has built a long career across a wide range of organisational contexts— from startups to FTSE 100 companies —spanning both public and private sectors.

His experience also includes work with international non-profit organisationsfocused on critical thinking, epistemic alignment, and decision quality, reinforcing a practice grounded in intellectual rigour.

Aporia International formalises the synthasis of this work with William’s extensive business experience, creating a bespoke offering designed to deliver meaningful value to senior leadership teams.

"Aporia"

Aporia (from Ancient Greek ἀπορία, “impasse” or “perplexity”) is a state of philosophical puzzlement or doubt in which reasoning leads to an apparent contradiction, unresolved question, or dead end.

In the classical Socratic dialogues, aporia is used deliberately to expose hidden assumptions and stimulate deeper inquiry. The presense of aporia is a strong indicator that there is something furhter to be understood and explored.
